"Wildfire LAN" (the "Software") is developed by Beijing Wildfire Infinite Network Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"). We take the security of your personal information seriously. The Software is designed around the principle of "no central server, data never leaves the LAN", protecting your privacy at the architectural level. This Policy explains how information is handled by the Software. Please read it carefully before use.
1.1 The Software has no central server and no account registration system. We do not collect, upload or store any of your personal information on our servers — we simply have no server that stores your data.
1.2 The Software integrates no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we never share any of your information with any third party.
2.1 Nickname and avatar: the nickname and avatar you set are only used to identify you to other users within the LAN, broadcast to devices on the same network, and are never sent to the Internet.
2.2 Device discovery: the Software discovers other devices via LAN UDP broadcast. The broadcast contains only necessary information such as device name, nickname, avatar and the network address required to establish connections, and is confined to your LAN.
2.3 Messages and files: all messages, images, voice clips and files are transferred directly between the devices of the communicating parties, without passing through any third-party server.
2.4 Local storage: your chat history, contacts, received files and all other data are stored only on your own device, and we have no access to them.
To provide the corresponding features, the Software may request the following system permissions, which you may choose whether to grant:
3.1 Local network permission: used to discover other devices and communicate within the LAN. This is the core permission essential to the Software.
3.2 Storage / file access: used to send images and files you select, and to save received files.
3.3 Camera and photo library: used to take or select images and videos to send to other users.
3.4 Microphone: used to send voice messages and make voice/video calls.
3.5 Notifications: used to alert you when new messages arrive.
The above permissions are used only when you use the corresponding feature, and the information processed is used solely for that feature and for no other purpose.
4.1 As data is stored only on your device, please keep your device secure and use the Software in a trusted LAN environment.
4.2 The Software provides security mechanisms such as device trust. We recommend verifying the identity of important contacts before communicating.
4.3 Please note: the security of the LAN environment is the responsibility of the network administrator and yourself. We recommend against transmitting sensitive information over untrusted public networks.
5.1 You may delete conversations, message history and received files within the Software at any time.
5.2 Uninstalling the Software deletes all data it stored on your device. As we hold none of your data, you do not need to — and cannot — request access, copies or deletion of data from us.
The Software is not actively directed at minors and does not actively collect any user information. If you are a minor, please use the Software under the guidance and consent of your guardian.
We may revise this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be published within the Software with its update date. Please check periodically for the latest version.
